One of my two cats... this is the one that provides the constant Dumb Looks and is the sweetest cat around. Maine Coon male and typical of same, in which most of the males are goofs and the females try to distance themselves from the fact they are the same breed. His brother is the intelligent one...
And there you have it, Red Van Tabby markings on a Maine Coon. Nothing bad has ever come out of the refrigerator... and yes, it is fluff, not as bad as a Persian, but very fluffy dry fur.All American Cats from Purrbodys.
These two boys are the result of Tasmanian Devil (Taz) and the sole breeding of Sweet Magnolia. Pet quality in coloration, but lovely personalities and relatively easy going (although they did pick up some jumpiness from another cat previously owned here).

ReplyDeleteWe picked the boys up in '99, if I recall... the only problem with the Van Red was with developing Type 1 diabetes as a kitten, but he actually grew out of that, although we do keep him on science diet rd just to make sure. Wish he could contact the homeworld for that and see what it can offer us mere humans...
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had much interaction with the breeder since the first year or so... but it does sound like they have a genetic problem that needs to be addressed.
