CROWS, even better than a Raven Banner!

Common Remotely Operated Weapon Systems.

“I recently learned something quite interesting about video games. Many young people have developed incredible hand, eye, and brain coordination in playing these games. The air force believes these kids will be our outstanding pilots should they fly our jets.”

-Ronald Reagan

Why yes, yes indeed, although ground vehicles will also do.

And it would be handy if you could see through walls. Oh! Never mind...

How about bullets from the "Shadows"? Over 1 km. away? Ouch! And just *more* snipers?

And lighter helmets that offer better protection? And better, lighter body armor?

Just lots more body armor.

How about something to make ambushing US Troops a deadlier proposition?

A robot to help carry the load of equipment?

Caffeinated gum for long missions?

Then the New Iraqi Army learning to fight like Americans... because it is effective.

Perhaps the beginning of a Stillsuit.

Better training using lessons learned?

You know, this really doesn't sound like a quagmire... more like wizards going to war.

Perhaps, someday, the MSM will get wind of this... but probably not. US Military adapting to changing circumstances, fielding new skills and equipment and generally getting better trained doesn't fit into 'the story'.

As Queen Victoria would say: "How unfortunate."
